Criticism – Marius Tita, Chronicle, art critic and curator

“Painting is a destiny, and Carmen Olteanu has assumed this grace with humble courage, with imaginative intelligence, with careful observation. Painting is also a way of life, of relating to the light, and the colours that surround us. This is how the artist sees the time and seasons, the religious faith and the eternity of the spirit, the people and their faces, and puts them on the canvas, on the paper, on the wall. The message comes from contemplation, from comprehension and from construction. There is a search for the clear-obscure but also an attempt of graphism with large areas of colour in the painting of Carmen Olteanu.”
